Our Academy Program
Before the Festival:
Young musicians will prepare solo or chamber music pieces before June 1, 2018, and send their performance videos to the festival organization when they apply for the festival academy courses.
We will select students for one chamber music piece* in addition to solo pieces.
*The chamber music piece includes duo, duet, trio, quartet or other ensemble performances. We will select chamber music pieces after students fill out their ensemble preferences in their application.
During the Festival:
Mornings at the festival will begin with group classes that encourage students to deepen their understanding of the history behind the music of the Contemporary Era and to integrate musical literacy with performance.
The afternoons will continue with solo and group practice sessions, private lessons, master classes, and chamber music workshops. Students will have extensive opportunities to interact with world-class musicians, to collaborate with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds, and to share their appreciation for classical music.
During the evenings, our renowned master artists will perform concerts that are open to the general public.
At the end of the festival academy courses, all academy students will be selected to perform in a final concert to showcase the fruits of their hard work and to stage their tremendous talent with solo or ensemble performances.
After the Festival:
The best performers of piano, strings, winds, percussions, vocal, and film music in different age groups will be invited to perform in the season’s concerts.
